Placing online orders

Post  driver 101 on Wed 6 Jun - 16:11

Hi All,

I thought this may be of interest:

When a club member(s) are planning to place an online order for shipment of spares or kit, or whatever. Lets post it up here and see if we can do group ordering. It may work out cheaper as well.

Just an idea.

Cheers
Ty

Hi Guys. Do our local hobby shops not carry what you are looking for?

Sometimes

In all credit to the LHS they always try hard , but are relying on Jeffery Steyn !!!! Who are better than worse . Possibly I'm being harsh , JS is big and can't bend to all our wants . So what are our options ? Import ourselves

Example I needed some F104 spares , JS out of stock ?? ( what new ) So I imported what I wanted , was here in TWO weeks and was cheaper than JS's list price . The cost is not the issue , it's the fact that I can race next week Laughing

Good to know Duck. When you do these bulk online orders, do you get better prices? If so, could a LHS offer better pricing for a bulk order?

Don't think so !!

If a hobby shop could comment it would be great ??

I was in Hobbywarehouse on Friday getting some paint . Andy was saying that JS is now making them buy packs of 6 of one colour at a time !!!! So if I order a specific colour and buy one bottle they are left with 5 more that they may never sell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sucks... But it does open up a opportunity to maybe come up with specials where you get a kit with paint at a "special price"
