Rain Out Procedure

Post  driver 101 on Thu 7 Jun - 20:39

Hi Guys,

Now that we are in the open and subject to "Acts of God" , I think we are on need of a few suggestion on what should be a normal procedure when it rains.

We cant just keep postponing and end up with too many races with no time or days to do them.

Also, I dont know how you all feel about changing to a different venue for when it does rain?

With a few open slot days on the calendar, its easy to move the races and take out these slots, but there only a few. When winter turns hopefully it wont be a big issue, but I feel we need something concrete, so no confusion sets in.

Good idea but December time gets busy for everyone so i think attendence will be less the closer we get to the Festive Season.

In terms of rain out procedure:

1.) Cant we make race nights on tuesday's or thursday's, so if we see the weather forecast in advance and see it looks dodge for thursday but clear on the tuesday then we race on the tuesday for that week....?

2.) We can just make use of Matt's warehouse, BUT it would need a soild clean in order for it to work and im not sure the space will be enough for gt/progt. There will be lots of tears Sad

3.) What happened to KC as an option for a "Rain Out Venue"?

4.) Or we can just cancell the race event that is rained out and instead of haveing a 5 race season, we have a 4 race season...?

My 2 cents.... Very Happy

I like option 4, but before we cancel we first move (postpone) till following week until we run out of time. Meaning...we use up open slot and maybe 1 extra week into December.

Maybe these open slot events can be done on a weekend for fun, for those that want to do gymkhanas, enduros etc

Sounds good

So proGT would be moved to next week ? If next week is rained out ( that rounds of proGt is cancelled ) and F1 would be the following week ?

Is that how you understand it ?

Ummm....this would apply from next season (season 2)

At the moment it looks as if race 4 for GT/Pro GT is gonna be cancelled. We are already out of days. We can discuss this at the next race, which will be F1 / PSC
