So Dion, Brett and myself made it down to the court late on Sunday.....the court has been power washed and ready for its first test run. The surface is smooth and perfect.

Cant wait for the first event.

Lekker Venue Guy's!!!!

Post  DanyB on Thu 3 Feb - 18:55

Nice ONE!!!!!

I like the Venue, To bad I moved out of Muizenberg's, I would have joined you guys in a flash.

I live out north now so it's a little easier joining PRCCC, But I really like your spirit you guy's have.

Still a noobie in Racing, come from a flying back ground but your forum seems very informative so thanks guy's..

Regards

P.S. A inter club race meet should definitely be organized...... Very Happy Very Happy

Howzit DanyB,

Inter club race for sure, however, all our attention at the moment is all about getting a permanent venue going. We are there as you can see, so maybe in the future we will be able to host PRCCC and visa versa?

driver 101 wrote:Yesterday went well for the first time out on the court, the surface is good, it was just very dusty and some corners had absolutely no grip. With a good sweep before racing should help. Only a few guys arrived, but it was great to be there, at least we now know how to improve for next time. This place has huge potential for us? The track was tight, we made a few changes and it improved. So far so good. We will arrange another race day and give more time for those that couldn't make it. Here are some pics...

I think that gives everyone more than enough time to plan ahead!

The 5th is a saturday and the 6th is a sunday...which one?

you better get the word out so everyone can make there plans! I missed out big time last sunday and am so looking forward to racing at the new venue! Very Happy

So are we going to be allowed to run foams in all classes at the new venue? or is it still rubbers only?

I thought you guys said 4wd mini had no grip?

Even in P.E. we struggled!

AND at Dreamers! Sun gets too hot and makes tires too soft which results in no grip what so ever.

Anyways just my 2cents at the end of the day it is the Committee's decision. We should though experiment so that when we do start racing there permanently then the committee knows how to draw up the rules.
