Just when we were worried we weren’t going to have a good turnout of drivers, we ended up having a really busy night. Can you believe it, we had 7, yes S-E-V-E-N F1 entries and 12 BMW Cup drivers, fan flippen tastic. We raced at the car wash section again, as voted for, and it ended up being a great choice, the space seems to be better and the track was absolutely awesome.

BMW Cup we ran both directions, it was great to vary it up with drivers all having their own opinion on which way was better. The pole sitters for each final got to choose which way the final was going to be run. Great Stuff.

F1 Final

1-1-Deon-23-5m03.43-09.400-13.193

Can someone please catch this RED BULL…. please, Scooby drove to a very well deserved win, he had some close calls early on, but managed to check out and absolutely dominate, well done, driver of the night.

2-3-Kevin -22-5m01.230-12.300-13.692

Now this is a guy who may not be the fastest every week, but I can tell you he races with a solid attitude that if you stay consistent and manage your race correctly, you will get results. Once again Kev has proved this, he came home in second, fantastic Kev, well done.

3-2-Neville-22-5m13.250-12.710-14.239

Nev put on his race face and was super determined to catch the red bull, unfortunately some bad luck and a few mistakes along the way saw him manage third. He is looking fast and I am sure he will be running side by side with Scoobs soon.

4-5-Dave-18-5m13.953-9.937-17.442

Duck again, rocks up without a care in the world, put his car down, and settles in at a good pace. A few mistakes here and there, but still managed a very good result. He actually finished 20 laps, but the transponder didn’t pick up. Well Done Dave.

5-4-Quinton-17-5m12.480-13.680-18.381

The first of our newbies. This man looked good, his line were getting better as the night went on, so watch out, with more practise he will be a regular front runner.

6-7-Creslyn-16-5m11.710-14.220-19.482

Nervous to even race, but with a little persuasion, he built up the pluck and lined up on the starting grid, he has a very twitchy car which wasn’t helping him much, think his buddy Scoobs needs to pull that car in for a RED BULL make over. Creslyn don’t give up, you will get it.

7-6-Ozzie-0-NO TIME-0.000

First time racer, and unfortunately his transponder didn’t pick up either. He has good speed and if he can get his car to be more stable through the turn, he will be in for a good result each time out, well don Ozzie.

BMW Cup B Final

1-5-Scoobs 008-25-5m08.870-11.520-12.355

Scooby had trouble with his heats, so only managed B final for the night, starting way back in 5th he fought his way to the front, got himself caught up in a mammoth dice with Sam. Great to watch these two change positions, well done Scoobs for the win.

2-3-Sammy D- 18-24-5m10.410-11.000-12.934

Sam, oh sam, what can we say dude, you were flying at the start, holding off a very fast charging Scoobs, you looked super-fast and your lap time proves it, just couldn’t hang on all the way, next time I am sure you gonna be quicker, well done and that’s by far the best we have seen you drive. Be careful guys, sam is on his way to the front.

3-6-Naasif-235m05.010-11.920-13.261

Naasif took off from the start like he had to be somewhere else in a hurry. Starting last he came through to third at the first turn. He challenged for the front and looked like he was going to surprise us all. This guy can drive, a few more races to relax the nerves and he will be, for sure, a front runner. Naasif you biscuit.

4-2-Leslie 06-23-5m05.730-11.730-13.293

Leslie charged hard throughout the race, some quick laps, but too many mistakes put him down the order. Just gotta get more consistent dude and the results will come.

5-4-Quinton-18-5m01.690-12.010-16.761

Quinton you drove well man, you haven’t raced at all and you are having a jol, I kept hearing you laughing at yourself, great stuff, keep at it.

6-1-Kevin 02-30m50.230-12.820-16.743

Kev was again unlucky with this class, he having a hard time getting his TT to work for him. He started on pole and looked to be strong, but it was a real pitty to see him pull out, the car broke and that was that. Next time Kev.

A Final BMW Cup.

1-4-Hamish 88-26-5m07.920-11.190-11.843

I called it earlier, this man is racing like he means it, he has by far become the clubs driver to beat. He had a good start from fourth. While the front guys were racing hard he caught up. Got past second place and hunted me down. Got past and held off any challenges. It was a fantastic drive under extreme pressure. Well done Hamish, driver of the night for sure.

2-1-Ty 101-26-5m11.370-10.990-11.976

My nerves are shot, I can’t take this anymore. I love the close racing, but man these guys are getting fast. I took you out earlier Hamish, sorry, but I knew you would be right back in it with the speed you were going. Next time…… next time.

3-3-Neville 21-25-5m05.690-11.290-12.228

Nev was unlucky, he held the lead for a long time, but getting through the back markers seemed tuff. Never mind Nev, you improved massively from the heats and you still managed a good result, well done.

4-6-John 05-23-5m05.980-11.670-13.303

Jonny was driving well, his car was lacking a bit of speed, but his was still up there with the A drivers. Work on that car Bud.

5-5-Dave 888-22-5m03.450-11.570-13.793

Well done Dave, holding down the fort for the Petronas Team. You are driving well, just need to enter more races.

6-2-Brett 86-0-NO TIME-0.000

Brett, my team mate, that wasn’t part of the plan. You broke down. Never mind dude, we take them next time.
